Pastel painting is a wonderfully immediate form for art making; it allows for quick application of colour and changes in your work and is forgiving of mistakes or ‘accidental marks’. Learn about the different types of pastels and supports to work on, layering techniques and the importance of capturing light. This course will include a session with a life model as the medium lends itself well to quickly capturing the human form.
