Now in our eighth year Art On King Studios have been providing the inner west with quality art tuition at an affordable price. Located in the heart of Newtown, our air conditioned Art Studios overlook colourful King Street. We run adult art classes for total beginners to advanced students, and offer workshops throughout the year on different topics.
All our students receive 10% off all regular priced art materials for the duration of your course from our retail outlet Art On King, which is right downstairs from the studios and open extended hours. So why not unleash your creative soul and enrol in one of our courses today!

Unfortunately expenses are up and so to are course fees, but the good news is if you mention this offer and enrol before Jan 10th or are one of our previous students you pay the old rates of $240 for painting courses and $250 for drawing courses. Continuing Drawing Short Course

DURATION: 5 wks, 2.5hrs p/w
TIME: 6.30 - 9pm
This course follows on from our Beginner Drawing courses; you will learn construction techniques that make portrait and figure drawing seem easy! We will explore the techniques of old master drawings and experiment with the different drawing mediums they used. Tonal drawing exercises will develop your confidence with rendering and is a great skill to know should you want to learn painting in the future.
One session with a life model is included in the course fee.
Beginners Watercolour Short Course

DURATION: 5 wks, 2.5hrs p/w
TIME: 6.30 - 9pm
This course will introduce you to the tools and tricks of watercolour painting for total beginners. You will learn about the variety of surfaces, paints and mediums available. The course will cover traditional and experimental approaches and will allow you to work confidently in taking this exciting medium to the next level.
