
Tania Castaing has studied Fine Arts at the National Art School and Ultimo Technical College; her areas of expertise include oil painting, printmaking and floral art and design. She has thirteen years experience in teaching oil painting; mostly gained in community based organisations such as the Sydney Community College, the Workers Education Association, and the Kurringai Art Centre.
Tania has been painting for 20 years and has exhibited in many group and solo exhibitions. Tania’s work has been selected for many prize exhibitions including the Portia Geach , Salon Des Refuses, and the Fishers Ghost.
Darryl returned to fine art following a successful twenty-five year career as a designer/illustrator in advertising. He has studied with some of Australia’s leading artists and has qualifications from TAFE, the National Art School and Sydney University. Darryl has been a teacher at AOK Studios since its inception, in 2003.
Samantha has been painting and exhibiting for over twenty years both in Australia and Europe. Trained at NAS and Charlie Sheard’s Studio School in Redfern, Samantha has been teaching for the past 10 years at all levels. Samantha has lived and worked in Italy for several years and paints with an emphasis on old masters’ techniques.
Samantha is represented in Sydney by Rushcutter’s Bay Gallery and in private collections.
Anne Kwasner has completed an Honours degree in fine art at the National Art School, with prior training at Julian Ashton Art School, The School of Colour and Design, and East Sydney Technical College. She works in a variety of mediums: drawing, painting, printmaking and ceramics. She has enjoyed teaching both young people and adults on a community level for over fifteen years. Anne has exhibited both in Sydney and overseas.
Tonee Messiah graduated from the Sydney College Of The Arts with honours, majoring in painting. Tonee has been exhibiting since since 2001 and is represented by Gallery Nine, with many of her works in public and private collections around Australia.
Tonee has been fascinated by the complex relationships that develop in an artwork when a multitude of mediums are utilised. With a strong focus on water-based materials and their applications on paper Tonee consistantly investigates the nature and behaviour of mediums making her an exciting mixed media artist. Jessica Ashton paints across all genres, seeking to reveal the drama and beauty of light and colour found in the everyday subject.
Jessica studied drawing and painting extensively at the Julian Ashton Art School on the Sir William Dobell Scholarship for fine draughtsmanship. Since graduating Jessica has been passionate about teaching good drawing skills. She has exhibited in many group shows, has been a finalist in the prestigious Alice Bale Scholarship and her paintings are part of both private and public collections.
