Art for Beginners

Especially designed as an introduction to drawing and painting; this course is for those who want help with their drawing technique whilst also learning how to turn their drawings into paintings. It is recommended for the absolute beginner as well as those wanting to refresh their skills and be inspired!
To begin we will touch on the fundamentals of drawing including measurement, tone, form, and perspective. (For those with some experience this will help finetune your technique.)
Then we will learn about basic colour theory, the colour wheel and begin a colour chart. This will be followed by still life and landscape painting exercises designed to increase your understanding of colour and tone. There will be time to finalise works at the end of the course.
Additionally different painting mediums and techniques associated with acrylics, such as glazing and impastos will be discussed... all in a fun and relaxed environment!
